Winnie: Tech startup founders wear many hats and so there is a long list of essential skills. I will probably be able to write a whole article just trying to list all these skills. Let me just list the few skills/traits that I personally think are the most crucial:

Ability to sell. Sell your company, your vision, your product, or yourself. You must be able to sell to raise money, recruit talents, and generate revenue.
Management skills. With limited resource and runway, technopreneurs must be able to manage the people and funds effectively to achieve clear goals.
Tenacity. Persistent determination is a must have because most people will shoot down your idea in the beginning and you will meet with failures. But try, try, and try again. And repeat.

Travelogy just announced that it has received a funding round from Crystal Horse under the iJam Reload scheme by MDA. Started back in 2010, Travelogy aims to be the one stop travel guide in Singapore.
